The Hop Head Red Ale from Green Flash Brewing Company in Vista, California pours out a deep, reddish brown in color with some cloud and a light tan head that sticks around briefly. On the nose grapefruit and pine with some caramel. Big hop bitterness in the mouth with caramel backing. A lot of pine and citrus rind. Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Nice lacing. Slightly slick mouthfeel. More hops on the dry finish. An excellent, potent, hoppy brew that lives up to its "Hop Head" name.
